Wabi Sabi Events is the brain-baby of Stella Kim, a California native who is currently residing in San Francisco with her husband and their menagerie of pets. Being inspired and influenced by the wabi sabi aesthetic and zakka crafts (handmade items) after living in Japan, Stella returned to the U.S. to work as a partner at an international importing business. After 6 years with her company, with her experience, artistic background, and passion for weddings, Stella left to pursue her dream of helping people bring their visions into reality with Wabi Sabi Events.

Stella fell in love with wedding planning and design while planning her own wedding, which you can read about on WeddingBee as Mrs. Gummi Bear. In addition to event planning, Stella also loves candy, video games, and eating all of the delicious cuisine the world has to offer. You can often find her and her dog Frances around the city looking for new ideas to incorporate into the next event.

Lydia and Jen are Stella's DIY assistants. You can often find them working late into the night next to a softly burning candle.
